Five hundred of you came from cities and towns across the state to meet your colleagues, learn from others and understand your importance as an economic driver in your communities. Gary Roberts

Medford Arts Council

Gary Roberts is a higher education administrator and an active volunteer for several arts and cultural organizations in the Boston-area. He currently works at the MIT Sloan School of Management as the Director of Faculty and Research Services. Gary has served as the chair of the Medford Arts Council since 2014, and helped lead this municipal commission to become honored as the 2016 Local Cultural Council of the Year for Massachusetts. He is a member of the Leadership Council for MASSCreative and a Trustee of the Society of Arts and Crafts. Gary earned a Ph.D. in English literature and languages from Brandeis University, where he specialized in modern and contemporary poetry, and is an active poet and translator of poetry. Gary’s lifelong interest in the visual arts is matched by a deep enthusiasm for many craft media, especially contemporary ceramics.
