Thank you all for participating in the Mass Cultural Council Institute – Unleashing the Power of Culture - on March 17th. Five hundred of you came from cities and towns across the state to meet your colleagues, learn from others and understand your importance as an economic driver in your communities. Laura Baring-Gould


Sculptor Laura Baring-Gould creates large-scale public sculptures, epic ephemeral installations, and small intimate objects that create wonder in the palm of a hand. A love of universal shapes, as well as a fascination with elemental materials that include bronze, honey, salt, beeswax, paper, water, copper and light form the common bond within her projects. Her projects have been sponsored by the National Park Service, the Institute of Contemporary Art, the DeCordova Museum & Sculpture Park, Creiger Dane Gallery, Boston Sculptors Gallery, Boston Center for the Arts, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, Scenic Hudson Inc., and other numerous grants and awards. Baring-Gould lives and keeps bees in Somerville, Massachusetts.
