Leslie Ferrin is founder, director of Ferrin Contemporary and co-owner with Sergei Isupov of Project Art, Cummington, MA. Ferrin Contemporary began in 1979 in Northampton Mass as Pinch Pottery, as an artist coop gallery and studio. 40 years and 6 locations later, Leslie Ferrin, is now a sole director of the public gallery space on the MASS MoCA campus and specializing in contemporary ceramic art 1950 - present. Project Art began in 2007 as a live work space for Sergei Isupov and offices for Ferrin Contemporaryn in a restored 8000 square foot, 19th century former mill building located in the small rural town of Cummington, Massachusetts, USA. It now offers year round, short term artist residencies, workshops and studio rentals and a by appointment gallery offering works for sale by artists in the various programs.
